How is Chair Yoga different from chair stretching or chair exercises?
Chair Yoga combines an intentional awareness of breath with slow,
gentle movements and alignments of the body. An inward focus of the
mind is calming and restorative. Whenever we move our bodies, the body
benefits from strengthened muscles and increased range of motion.
By emphasizing the mind/body connection Chair Yoga reunites our
intentions with our abilities. We become more centered and able to
distinguish between harmful and beneficial thoughts and actions.
